Jessica has been a Registered Midwife since 2006.

She completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery, francophone stream, from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario.

Throughout her training she worked across Ontario in urban, rural and remote areas. Upon graduating she spent a year working in Hamilton, Ontario and then pursued a locum position in Puvirnituq, Quebec.

Jessica has most recently been working with the St. Lawrence Valley Midwives in Cornwall, Ontario.

Prior to pursuing a career in midwifery she completed a Masters of Arts in Womens Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her thesis focused on the history of midwifery in Canada with an emphasis on midwives experiences and education in Saskatchewan , Ontario and Nova Scotia prior to and post legislation.
