Our History
In June of 1987 the first meeting of the Midwifery Association of Saskatchewan plus Friends of the Midwives,
was held in Saskatoon with the goal of working toward regulated and funded midwifery in the province.
In the summer of 2006 the government committed to implementing and funding midwifery in Saskatchewan and the process of implementation has begun.
